An introduction to the EJB server and concepts. Long before the Application Server market settles down, the EJB server market takes off, as the standards issues get ‘put to bed’. As companies start to respond to business pressures, to do real business on the Web, they recognise the difficulties of providing transactional integration, and the benefits of EJB components start to look attractive. When I talk to people in the US, I get a very clear message that Java, and the EJB standard in particular, is pretty much accepted as the language and platform of choice for significant scale, Internet computing. |
