| Abstract: | Business Matters Technology is easy, keeping up with the business is hard! At the October Component-Based Development (CBD) Forum meeting in Birmingham, there were considerable comments that business issues are an important area for the Forum to focus on. One speaker made the comment that ‘technology is easy by comparison. The hardest thing we have to do is to keep up with the changes in business requirements’. There was strong support for this view. It seems as if business managers do not understand, and do not want to understand, the complexities of information support.
