CBDi Forum is convinced that many IT vendors, if pushed, would have to confess that their internal systems are not nearly so sophisticated as the ones they try so hard to convince their customers they should be implementing. We are close enough to the real world to have recent personal experience of convincing customers on the benefits of building powerful integrated information systems, only to have to return to the office and fill out endless paper-based forms, that are pushed manually around the office, to fulfil their order.
