Abstract: DCOM for the Enterprise Why would you use DCOM Across the Enterprise? There has been a flurry of announcements from Microsoft and its partners, signalling a major change of strategy for DCOM, to enable interoperability with existing applications. This paper discusses some of the reasons why you would use DCOM for this, and some issues surrounding the announcements.
