In this report we introduced the concept of ‘CBD Maturity Levels’. At the time we wrote this, most organisations were in the bottom left hand corner of any maturity chart and and were planning to make the transition over a period of time, to achieve the position where standard components are used across the organisation, deployed in advanced component execution environments. This paper asserted that it is possible to predict, plan and manage these changes of state. The analysis is just as valid today, as it was three years ago, for many organizations are still struggling with these multi-disciplinary issues.
