| Abstract: | The Internet Changes Everything (Again) by David Sprott david.sprott@cbdiforum.com Microsoft famously discovered to its cost that the Internet has the potential to exert dramatic change in very short timescales. They seem to have learnt that lesson, and are now driving profound changes which look set to dramatically simplify application architectures. The progressive move to a service based architecture discussed in December INTERACT, will lead to tomorrow's applications being more sharply focused on narrower information and process domains serviced by components supporting narrow sets of independent services such as customer, product and party services.
