Report Summary
Title: Learn By Example: A Populated SAE Meta Model
Author: John Dodd
Publication Date: 20 September 2007
Report Type: Journal
Report Class: Best Practice
Abstract: It can be difficult to understand a meta model quickly. To help Journal readers get a better grasp of the SAE meta model that was recently published on the CBDI Forum web site, we have prepared a report that walks through the model providing examples of the concepts and their properties
Backgrounder: An updated version of our SAE meta model has now been made available on the CBDI Forum web site. The first version of this model appeared in the CBDI Journal for October 2006. Since then, we have reviewed its content with interested clients, and subjected the model to further internal scrutiny. The result is SAE Meta Model Version 2. Rather than repeating version 2 within the Journal, we thought it would be more useful to illustrate it using a series of Object Diagrams.
