| Abstract: | The term platform is currently much in vogue, being used by the major industry players to define the technical architecture and products and services above the operating system layer. The platform concept typically provides frameworks, tools and layered services, to raise the level of abstraction for business applications. However the degree to which the various platforms implement component concepts varies widely. In this report we review an interesting new platform from Xpedior, which provides comprehensive support to the entire enterprise component life cycle. | ||
