A report on the Components in Business SIG meeting. The computer industry - indeed, the media as a whole - is currently dominated by e-Business, and the Forum meeting strongly reflected this interest. Most of the presentations, both in the plenary session and in the business track, were pitched against a background of e-Business, both as a driver of new system requirements, and as a potential source of new system solutions. Many of the speakers attempted, some more successfully than others, to link software components to e-Business. |
