| Abstract: |
In this month’s journal we discuss the nature of the service contract and the need for an holistic approach that creates back to back agreements between all the parties to the contract – the owner, the consumer, the provider, builder et al. And we advise on the criticality of formal agreements for all services that form significant integration points. |
| Backgrounder: |
Today we might think that the need for a formal contract around a service would be universally accepted. It’s so obvious – that to achieve full encapsulation a formal contract that describes the external behaviors is essential. But interestingly the ideas are still far from universally accepted let alone practiced. |
