| Abstract: |
In our recent work with large organizations, we’ve been tackling various aspects of SOA adoption, including SOA business case, readiness assessment, adoption planning and maturity assessment. This article shows how these various aspects of SOA adoption can be integrated into a single management framework based on Total Quality Management concepts. We call this the SOA Excellence Model. The model helps an organization manage the relationship between SOA capabilities and SOA goals, to get the maximum benefit from the SOA program in the most cost-effective way.

In our recent work with large organizations, we’ve been tackling various aspects of SOA adoption, including SOA business case, readiness assessments, adoption planning and maturity assessments. In this article, I shall show how these various aspects of SOA adoption can be integrated into a single management framework, with a managed loop connecting the investment in enablers and the achievement of results. We call this the SOA Excellence Model. |
