Stingray Division of Rogue Wave Software Partners with Microsoft to Provide Component Tools for Enterprise Development

May 19, 1998 - The Stingray division of Rogue Wave Software announced today that Microsoft Corp., has selected Stingray, one of the industry leaders in Visual Studio add-on components and tools, to join its Enterprise Development Tool Partners Program (EDP). Stingray was chosen based on its market-leading MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes) tools in Objective Studio (Objective Grid, Objective Toolkit, Objective Chart, Objective Diagram, Objective Edit and Visual CASE), and its emerging presence in the Visual Basic and Visual J++ markets, supporting technologies such as ActiveX, COM and the WFC libraries (Windows Foundation Classes).

As a Microsoft EDP partner, Stingray will continue to strengthen its relationship with Microsoft to deliver a superior set of COM-based components and tools for customers looking to develop enterprise-level, object-oriented, component-based solutions for their business challenges.

Membership in this program entitles Stingray to a wide variety of co- marketing and development support benefits, and represents an extension of a long-standing relationship with Microsoft. In close co-operation with Microsoft and its recent Visual J++ efforts, Stingray recently announced its commitment to extend the new framework of WFC.
