ONTOS Partners With Rational Software. ONTOS’ Software Component Tool To Link With Rational’s Visual Modelling Tool May 26, 1998 - ONTOS, Inc., a leading provider of components-based application development solutions, announced today that it has joined Rational Software Corporation’s RoseLink Partner Program. As part of the program, ONTOS will develop the Rose ONTOS*Integrator Link to link ONTOS’ software component generator, ONTOS*Integrator, with Rational Rose, the industry leading visual modelling tool. Combining the complementary technologies of ONTOS and Rational Software will make accessing and using corporate data simpler and faster by creating a seamless path from the corporate data to business objects. "By integrating with Rational’s application modelling tool and leveraging the industry standard UML language, it is now possible for organisations to bring their component-based solutions to market faster with a lower level of overall project risk." Rose ONTOS*Integrator Link reads model information created in Rational Rose using Unified Modelling Language (UML), the industry standard for simplifying the complex process of designing and constructing software components. ONTOS*Integrator takes this information and automatically generates software components that link Rose’s application logic to existing corporate data, providing easier and faster access to legacy data.
